Internationally acclaimed author Tess Gerritsen will be the guest of the Library’s Visiting Writers Program to talk about her new thriller The Silent Girl.

Returning this year with another startling instalment in the Rizzoli and Isles series, she has gone back to her roots. In The Silent Girl, Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli and Dr Maura Isles are confronted with a chilling crime that resonates with bone-chilling echoes of an ancient Chinese legend. Through ancient Chinese stories of ghosts, mysterious martial arts masters and mythical creatures, Jane and Maura are led to an evil lurking in the dark alleys of Boston’s Chinatown. Rizzoli and Isles must now outwit an unseen enemy with centuries of cunning.

Bestselling author Tess Gerritsen is also a physician, and she brings to her novels her first-hand knowledge of emergency and autopsy rooms. As an anthropology student at Stanford University, she catalogued centuries-old human remains, and she continues to travel the world driven by her fascination with ancient cultures and bizarre natural phenomena.

Do come and hear Tess Gerritsen talk about her books and writing, and meet her at a booksigning session following her talk. This will be an exciting visit – Tess’s tour of Australia is a short one and we are lucky to have secured a visit by her to Camden. Book now!
